Hello interested fund raiser, you are very welcomed and encouraged to use our platform and space to make a change in your community and/or support approved humanitarian actions for your organisation.
We welcome diverse community development projects and emergency support actions which are in line with our existential principles and goals. However, you may need to read and ascertain that your ideas fall in line with our BREATH purpose before submitting or building a project that should be published for donation on our platform.
If after digesting the guide and you are certain that your program or project proposal can be accepted for publication, you have passed the first step to becoming part of the CHUDATS’s good will and humanitarian family. Getting through with the proceeding steps will depend on your know how and technicalities of drawing public support for your crowd donation initiative. While we do not hold the totality in savvy to encourage public and private donations turnout on your published project, we provide a verifiable and trust worthy platform for you do make the most of it by your own efforts.
For your assistance, we are providing a few guides on how successful crowd raising projects are planned, drafted, and executed towards obtaining significant outcomes.
Phase One: Conception
Through an advice or an intuitive move, or after coming across, or landing on our community project’s page, and once the thought to engage is certain, you may need to reflect on the following:
Consider a realistic and achievable plan of action that is feasible and should be effectively addressing a current or future need that is understood and compassionate by everyone or a group of those directly concerned.
Learn some basic skills on story telling if you don’t have any yet, and seek advice from some experienced persons.
Consider sending an ideological note on your prospective project to the CHUDATS support team and wait to see if you will receive any feedback on it. This step does not prevent you from applying directly, the support team may not be available to respond to every input they get due to junk message issues.
Very importantly, consider building a working team to assist you in maintaining engagements with your supportive public throughout the live donations period. The team should also help you in building trust and expanding the impact reach of your campaign.
Phase Two: Planning and Materialization
Before submitting a project for publication on our platform, please do well to ensure that you have thoroughly gone through certain best practices and are ready to proceed in the journey we are placing you on. For Example:
You have drafted a story that helps real persons who can be reached and touched even without the use of our platform.
Ensure you are in position of good quality photos, videos and other audio-visuals that can help the potential donor or supporter to see the actual situation on the ground and assess the quality of the change you are trying to create.
Ensure you have set-up a dedicated team for PR management projections including friends and family, social networks such as local groups, focus groups, influencers, and other social media communication channels.
Set realistic and optimistic targets where specific donations can come from such as corporate social responsibility (CSR), philanthropic groups, students, individuals and relay communities reached through celebrity endorsements, and friends of staff members. Here official appeal letters can be addressed to organizations/companies’ CSR departments including the link and title to your published project.
Prepare communication plans in diverse forms including one-on-one meetings, interviews, press releases, and audio-visual publicity spots. Give a living image or a human person feeling to your project; make it soul touching and alive…
Ensure you have set-in specific goals or objectives for each targeted outcome per donations amounts. For example: instead of we are …“in need of 1000HC for food in the hall” it is better to say… we are “in need of 1000HC for breakfast or lunch for 100 participants in the hall” .
Ensure you sign the CCDA-3 engagement form once your project has been approved for publications and HC donations on our platform.
Phase Three: Follow-up and Maintaining the Momentum
Merely having a project published on our platform is a not a guarantee to meet-up with desired targets. There is need for diligent and consistent actions that transpire through careful planning, skilful presentation and consistent monitoring of progress made, meanwhile maintaining close follow-up communications with donors and supporters on your cause. Preferable practices may include but not limited to:
Starting or launching your project’s campaign with your team and supporters at the very beginning or the publication date.
Keep track and communication of donors, and also maintain communication with past donors/supporters, they may be interested to support again or refer others.
Create follow-up social media accounts and recurrently publish progress reports or simple narratives on received and used donations. Ensure that you indicate or add the link of such progress reports accounts on the published project on our platform.
Maintain PR actions throughout the lifecycle of the project by ensuring effective action time management, for example: emails, press outings, audio-visual spots and other outreach engagements should be carried-out periodically and not all at once.
Though our platform provides personalised gratification messages for successful donations, you may desire to further thank your donors by forwarding to them specific heart felt “Thank You” messages. Such messages may be addressed under the letterhead of your structure and/or carry your signature, or may simply be a hand written card. This type of personalised gratification only warms the interactive supportiveness of the donor and may open more supportive doors for your project.
Learn analytical tools to follow-up and measure the supportive progress of your campaign and remember that crowd funding is a full-fledged journey. Remain persistence and don’t be easily discouraged. If necessary, measure, slowdown, redefine, refocus, adapt and keep pushing forward while engaging your audience in a very clear and dynamic manner.
Concluding...
The CHUDATS platform is a multidimensional government supported initiative hosting a portal that manages health institutions, health personnel, patients and other tele-health related practices. It is also an intergovernmental endorsed system initially targeted to cover 17 Countries. Therefore, all approved and published community projects initially benefit from a general expanded audience that is seeking healthcare solutions. However, for a published project to receive due attention and its objective donation goal, the publisher or project owner needs to carefully read the above guide or engage more alternatives to drive the required support necessary in meeting his/her target.
NB: CHUDATS support team does not build projects for applicants. If after going through the guide and you are still in need for further assistance, our specific project consultant team members may be introduced to assist on minimal paid basis. Paid assistance does not guarantee donation goal reach but may help restructure your project in an acceptable format, and provide further guidance on the applicant’s planning, materialisation, follow-up, and maintaining the momentum.
